How to Set Up Stratis Full Node GUI – Stratis Desktop Wallet

This release contains the Stratis Full Node GUI that includes the following features.

- Supports the Stratis network with Block Validation and Transaction Relay

Install Stratis Full Node GUI
The latest versions of the Stratis Full Node GUI (Stratis Wallet) can be obtained from the Stratis blog or from our GitHub repository.

Select the software that corresponds with your operating device.
Run the Stratis Full Node GUI Setup
The Windows Defender SmartScreen dialog may appear when attempting to execute the installation, click the “More Info” text to continue.
Click the “Run anyway” button to continue with the installation.
Review the License Agreement terms and click the “I Agree” button to agree with the terms and continue.
You may change the installation directory if you wish. Once you have confirmed the selected directory, click the “Install” button to continue.
The installer will check for any existing running processes and prompt you to close any instances before continuing with the installation.
Click the “OK” button to continue.
The installation is now in progress.
The installation is now complete. Click the “Finish” button to complete the installation and launch the Stratis Wallet.
Running the Stratis Wallet
When running the Stratis Wallet for the first time you will be prompted with two choices, either to Create or Restore a wallet.
To create a wallet, click the “Create or restore a wallet” text to continue.
To continue creating a wallet, click the “Create” button.
Enter the required information.
Once you have confirmed the Wallet Name and Password you have entered, click the “Create a new wallet” button to progress onto the next stage of the wallet creation.
You will now be presented with your unique mnemonic words. These words need to be kept safe as they will be required if you ever need to restore a wallet that has been lost due to corruption or loss of data.
To ensure you have made note of the mnemonic words you will now be prompted for three of the twelve words.
After completing the required fields, click the “Confirm” button to complete the wallet creation process.
The below message will appear, signifying the wallet creation was successful. Click the “OK” button to continue and be directed to the wallet selection page.
Decrypting Stratis Wallet
You can now decrypt a wallet by selecting the relevant wallet from the drop-down menu and entering the associated password.
Click the “Decrypt” button to continue.
Click the blue downward facing arrow to display your unique receive address.
You can either copy the text within the address field or select the copy symbol next to the address field.
How to Send Stratis
Click the green upwards facing arrow to open the “Send” transaction window.
Here you can perform a transaction. Once you have confirmed the address, amount and entered your wallet password, you can click the “Send” button to send a transaction.
The Stratis Wallet also provides you with the ability to stake on the Stratis blockchain.
Simply enter your wallet’s password into the password field and click the “Unlock” button to begin staking.
Staking detail will now be displayed within the staking window.
As the wallet does not contain a balance, no staking can be performed. Please see the below example from a wallet that contains a balance.
